Roy Walker
Director Training and Technical Assistance Division
Roy Walker directs CSR's Training and Technical Assistance practice area. Mr. Walker manages large-scale federal- and state-funded projects serving people living with substance abuse and HIV/AIDS. He successfully administers projects for the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Mr. Walker has developed and delivered training and technical assistance throughout this country and the Caribbean Islands, focusing in particular on the importance and use of cultural competency in health education. In addition, he provides training and technical assistance in the areas of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS and guides the planning and implementation of professional training, scientific meetings, and focus groups of audiences representing a range of federal prevention and service programs. Mr. Walker received a master’s degree in business administration from Loyola University, a bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biology from Grinnell College, and teacher certification from Purdue University’s Graduate School of Education.
