Senior Quantitative Research Analyst
CSR, Incorporated (a Northern Virginia consulting firm) is seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Quantitative Research Analyst to work in substance abuse and mental health epidemiologic research. Position responsibilities include working with a project team to develop study designs; conducting literature reviews; analyzing survey data; preparing technical reports, conference presentations, and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals; and providing research and analytic support and consultation.
Requirements: Ph.D. in epidemiology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, psychology, health policy, or social sciences; strong background in statistics and quantitative methods; experience in analyzing large datasets using SAS and/or Stata; ability to conduct studies independently and synthesize research findings from different studies; and strong skills in writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal communication. A research publication track record would be a plus.
Position involves working on Federal Government contracts to provide administrative and logistical support, maintaining files and electronic records, performing data entry, and tracking and reporting/documenting tasks/activities.
Requirements: Associates degree required with 1-2 years’ work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must possess professional verbal and written communication skills and be proficient using MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), with the ability to learn other software applications. Requires a high energy level and the ability to work in a team environment managing multiple tasks and competing priorities. Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
