Research/Technical Assistant (Non-IT)

Job Description

CSR is seeking qualified candidates for entry-level position to support and assist clients with data collection. The Research/Technical Assistant position is responsible for delivering day-to-day support to recipients and providers who receive funding from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, and will work at the prime contractor’s location in Rockville, Maryland. Non-IT technical assistance (TA) is provided by phone and email. Specific duties of the position include:

  • Developing subject-matter expertise on Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program policies.
  • Assisting with data collection, coding, reporting, and analysis.
  • Updating TA tracking system.
  • Conducting user-acceptance testing and communicating feedback to client and other TA team members.
  • Collaborating with other TA team members and elevating and transferring inquiries as necessary.
  • Revising PowerPoint presentations and instructions manuals.
  • Conducting training webinars and Q&A sessions, and presenting information to grant recipients and providers.
  • Providing other administrative support functions, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in social or health sciences preferable but not required, and 1-3 years’ professional experience. Must demonstrate strong writing and verbal skills as well as be proficient in MS Office applications. Advanced MS Excel skills are a plus. Position may also assist with quantitative data synthesis and analysis as well as the interpretation of qualitative data. Writing and/or presentation samples may be requested.

Technical Assistance Manager

Job Description

Technical Assistance Manager position will oversee large-scale data collection effort and technical assistance help desk; involves data management, training and technical assistance, analysis and reporting instruction manual writing; and supervision of help desk staff.

Requirements:

Master’s degree in health-related field with 5 or more years of related professional experience. Strong attention to detail; data analysis skills or experience with large data sets; supervisory experience; and very strong organizational and management skills are required. In addition, strong writing, communication, and presentation skills as well as a high level of proficiency in MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required. Demonstrated experience in the health & human services field, especially HIV/AIDS, a plus.
