The challenge: CSR’s Alcohol Epidemiologic Data System staff was asked to develop a poster based on a recent secondary analysis of national data for presentation to leading alcohol researchers. CSR had only 2 days to complete the project.
CSR’s approach: When developing presentations, we know it is important to portray the research in a way that captures and holds the viewer/reader’s attention. We chose to highlight important findings from this study using colorful maps, bar charts, and tables that make it easy to see the most salient research results. Because we develop presentation products in-house, we were able to turn this poster around quickly, making our 2-day deadline and staying well within our cost constraints.
