Training MaterialsThe challenge: CSR was asked to develop fully interactive e-learning courses for the National Institute on Alcohol and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and the U.S. Veterans Administration CSR’s approach: To develop the Helping Patient's Who Drink Too Much: A Clinician's Guide for NIAAA, we used a variety of tools to create an in depth e-learning course based on four video case scenarios. These scenarios are intended for physicians and health care professionals alike to learn how to identify and discriminate alcohol use, abuse, and disorders, and how to best help their patients. The course is highly interactive, and includes full scoring mechanisms. Health care professionals are able to obtain CME credits after finishing this course For the Veterans Administration, CSR oversaw two distinct courses: the Agency Medical Examand the Medical Narrative. They are intended to train VA case workers how to properly identify legitimate and process worker's compensation cases. These courses were created using the powerful tool of Adobe Flash and the underlying language of Actionscript.
