Consultant Information System (CIS)
The challenge: As CSR’s peer review work for the National Institute of Justice has expanded, it has become necessary to develop electronic task tracking and reviewer recruiting.
CSR’s approach: Using SQL Server, DB/TextWorks, and ColdFusion, CSR designed a custom Web-based system to provide real-time information. The system allows peer reviewers to register and client staff to review their credentials, search for and select reviewers, and keep track of tasks by person, department, and other key elements. CIS is used as a management tool to facilitate decisionmaking for the NIJ peer review process.
